Terms and Conditions of Enrollment

Terms and Conditions of Enrollment

By enrolling in our classes, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Performance Eligibility
Students who wish to participate in performances are required to attend a minimum of 50% of scheduled classes within the term. This ensures adequate preparation and group cohesion for all performers.
You are more than welcome to attend classes purely for your own learning and enjoyment, without any obligation to perform.
Please note that your ability to participate in a class or performance is at the discretion of our teaching staff, who are committed to maintaining a positive and safe learning environment for all students. We always consider things like ability, fitness level, any injuries or health concerns, and which class might offer the best support and enjoyment for where you’re currently at.

Enrolment & Fee Policy

A $25 registration fee per class is required upon enrolment. This fee acts as a deposit and is 100% non-refundable and non-transferable**.

A 48-hour cooling-off period applies from the time of enrolment. If you choose to withdraw during this period, only the $25 registration fee will be forfeited, and any remaining fees will be removed from your account.

If you withdraw from a class 3 weeks or more prior to the term commencing, 50% of the remaining fee balance will be removed, with the remaining 50% still payable.

If you withdraw from a class less than 3 weeks before the term commences or at any time after the term has commenced, the full remaining fee balance remains payable.

All fees are payable upon enrolment, regardless of attendance. This allows us to meet minimum enrolment requirements and properly plan and deliver quality classes for all students.

Skye High Burlesque operates under a strict zero-refund policy, and fees cannot be transferred to another term.

Overdue Fees

Overdue fees apply to any outstanding balances.

Transferring Your Spot

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your enrolled spot to another student. It is your responsibility to arrange the transfer and notify Skye High Burlesque in advance of any changes. The original enrolment and payment obligations remain the responsibility of the enrolled student until the transfer has been confirmed.

Performance Eligibility

For classes that include a performance opportunity, all fees must be paid in full no later than one (1) week prior to the show date. Students with outstanding balances after this deadline will not be eligible to perform, unless they are on an approved payment plan.

Exceptional Circumstances

In extreme circumstances, such as but not limited to major illness or injury, individual policies may be waived at the discretion of Skye High Burlesque following a direct conversation with our admin team.

Please contact admin@skyehighburlesque.com to discuss your circumstances.

Payment Plans
We understand that financial pressures can be a challenge, and to support our community during this time, payment plans are available, via Auto Pay, to help make classes more accessible. If you’d like to discuss options, please reach out to us directly.

*Auto Pay can be set up through your student portal. Click ‘pay’ at the top of your account, then ‘auto pay’ in the drop down menu.

Dress Code

For all classes (with the exception of dress rehearsals), we ask that students wear comfortable, easy-to-move-in clothing, such as activewear. While we celebrate the expressive and creative nature of burlesque, we respectfully request that overly revealing clothing, lingerie, or g-strings not be worn in class unless specifically instructed by your teacher.

This is to ensure that everyone feels safe, respected and comfortable within the studio environment.

Nudity is not permitted at any Skye High Burlesque studio, rehearsal, class or performance venue during rehearsals or performance. If a costume requires removal of clothing during rehearsal or a dress rehearsal, students must wear, at a minimum, nipple coverings (pasties) and a G-string at all times. Full nudity is strictly prohibited in all rehearsal spaces and venues.

Show Media Policy
Please note that photos and videos from shows are not included in your class fees.
Skye High Burlesque retains full ownership and rights to all show-related media, including photographs and videos, and reserves the right to use them for promotional purposes across digital and print platforms.

Medical Conditions & Personal Responsibility
Skye High Burlesque acknowledges that some students may have pre-existing medical conditions or physical limitations. While we encourage open communication and do our best to provide a safe and supportive environment, students participate at their own risk.

By enrolling in our classes, students agree to take full responsibility for listening to their own bodies and working within their personal limits. Skye High Burlesque will not be held liable for any injuries sustained as a result of a student ignoring medical advice, pushing beyond their capabilities, or undertaking movements they have been advised not to perform.

We strongly recommend consulting a medical professional before beginning any new physical activity if you have a condition that may impact your participation.

Privacy Policy
At Skye High Burlesque, your privacy is important to us.
All personal information provided during enrolment or participation is kept strictly confidential and is only accessed by Skye High staff and team members as needed.
We do not share or disclose your information to any third parties.

Student Behaviour & Code of Conduct

Skye High Burlesque is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for all students, instructors, volunteers and guests.

By enrolling in classes, students agree to:

  • Treat all members of the studio and wider Skye High Burlesque community with respect, courtesy and professionalism.
  • Communicate respectfully and address concerns directly with Skye High Burlesque management rather than engaging in gossip, rumours or public speculation.
  • Refrain from bullying, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, victimisation or any behaviour that creates a hostile or uncomfortable environment, whether in person or online.
  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other students and refrain from sharing personal information without permission.
  • Use social media responsibly. Posts, comments or messages that target, defame, harass or deliberately create conflict involving students, instructors, volunteers or Skye High Burlesque may be considered a breach of this Code of Conduct.
  • Follow all instructions provided by instructors and staff to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Treat studio equipment, props and venues with care and respect.

Any behaviour deemed by Skye High Burlesque to be inappropriate, disruptive, abusive, threatening, defamatory or damaging to the wellbeing of others or the reputation of the business may result in disciplinary action. This may include a verbal or written warning, removal from a class, suspension from performances, or immediate termination of enrolment without refund, at the discretion of Skye High Burlesque.

Skye High Burlesque reserves the right to refuse enrolment or participation to any individual whose behaviour is inconsistent with these standards or who negatively impacts the safety, wellbeing or enjoyment of others.
